DETROIT, MI – On Wednesday, November 25th, 2020, at approximately 5:30 p.m., in the area of Livernois and Tireman, a 42-year-old man driving a Cadillac DTS was traveling north on Livernois near Tireman. He collided head on with a Honda Acura that was being driven by a 50-year-old man who was traveling south on Livernois.

The driver of the Cadillac fled the scene of the crash but then returned.

A 79-year old woman who was the passenger in the Acura, sustained critical injuries from the crash, She was transported to a local hospital where she unfortunately died from those injuries.

The driver of the Acura refused treatment at the scene. His passengers, two boys, a 5-year-old and a 16-year-old, were transported to the hospital. Both were listed in temporary serious condition.

The driver, of the Cadillac was arrested at the scene. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
