RUTH, MI – Late Friday night, December 4th, 2020, at 11:26 PM, Huron County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to 7197 E. Atwater Rd., in Ruth, which was the scene of a shot being fired into a home.
The investigating Deputy was told by a 23-year old man and his 24 your old girlfriend that they heard what they thought was an explosion, then discovered that someone had shot from what appeared to be a handgun, into their house, which went through their entertainment center. Fortunately the passing round missed the gentlemen who was sitting within 6 inches of where the shot went through.
It is unknown if the shooter was on foot or in a vehicle, as there were no witnesses to who fired a weapon.
“The Huron County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from the public in gathering information to help determine who was responsible for this reckless or intentional shooting.” said Sheriff Kelly Hanson
