DETROIT, MI – A second shooting was reported on Morang Ave Thursday evening. In the shooting incident, a 49-year-old man was shot and died on his way to the hospital. The first reported shooting was that of a 9-year-old boy who was accidentally shot by their father.

On Thursday December 10th, 2020, at approximately 8:40 p.m., in the 11000 block of Morang Ave, a 49-year old man was walking down the street when an unknown suspect approached him and shot him then ran north on Nottingham.

Medics responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced Dead Upon Arrival.

A K9 track was conducted but was unsuccessful. The suspect was described as a black male, 6’0, dark complexion and wearing black jeans.
