RAISINVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI – On December 11th, 2020, troopers from the Monroe Post arrested Michele Anne Dropulich, a 47-year-old woman, from Hudson, Michigan, for the death of Monroe County Animal Control Officer Darrian Young.

On December 12th, 2020, Michele Dropulich was arraigned in the 1st District Court of Monroe on charges of Homicide/Murder- Second Degree, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death and Reckless Driving Causing Death.

Monroe County Animal Control Officer Darrian Young was killed on Thursday, June 4th, 2020, when her vehicle was struck in the intersection of M-50 and Raisinville Road. Officer Young was on duty and in her patrol vehicle at the time of the collision.

It is alleged, Michele Dropulich was driving at a high rate of speed and ran the red light at the intersection killing Officer Young. Lab results showed Dropulich to be intoxicated at the time of the collision.

Michele Dropulich is being held at the Monroe County Jail.
