MADISON HEIGHTS, MI – On Friday December 18th, 2020 at approximately 12:06pm, Madison Heights Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 32000 block of Concord.

Officers arrived to find a 24 year old man, who resides in Southfield, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Royal Oak Beaumont for treatment. The victim is currently undergoing treatment but is in stable condition.

It was determined that the victim was walking through the parking lot of an apartment building, when two suspects shot at him and then fled from the scene in a dark colored vehicle. A dark colored vehicle matching the description was identified and fled from the police. The suspect vehicle, a black Chrysler 300, was stopped at 8 Mile and Van Dyke where one person was taken into custody for charges currently not related to the shooting.

The investigation is still ongoing.
