JACKSON COUNTY, MI – A Michigan State Police Trooper made a traffic stop in Jackson County on a vehicle for improper lane usage on I-94 on Friday December 18th, 2020.
But this traffic stop would be just a bit more than the trooper first expected.
While behind the vehicle, with the famous red bubble light activated on the roof of their patrol vehicle, which was indicating to the driver that the officer needed to have a chat with him, the 32-year-old man from Adrian tried to litter the expressway by throwing a baggie of suspected drugs out the window of his vehicle. The baggie of suspected drugs was later found by the officer once the driver had finally stopped his vehicle and was in custody.
The driver was cited for Improper Lane Use, No Insurance and No License. The trooper will be seeking charges for Possession of Psilocybin (Majic) Mushrooms & Destruction of Evidence with the prosecutor’s office.
There was nothing “magic” about this traffic stop, just good police work!
