DETROIT, MI – She was broadcast across the news showing her stealing package after package off the porches of various neighborhoods on the west side.
Sade S. Scott, 33-years-old, of Southfield, has been charged in connection with packages stolen from the porches of two Detroit residences.
On December 19th, 2020, at 1:40 p.m. it is alleged that Sade Scott stole the contents of a package from the porch of a home located in the 18940 block of Sorrento Street and discarded the box in the driveway and drove away. The woman who owned the home reported the theft to the police.
Later on December 19th, 2020, at 2:20 p.m. it is alleged that Scott went to a home in the 18410 block of Appoline Street and stole a package from the porch of a Detroit man. The man contacted the police and reported the package stolen.
Detroit Police made the arrest on Saturday after she stole more packages. She was driving an allegedly stolen 2006 black Range Rover. The license plate came back to a stolen vehicle.
On December 20th, 2020, after an investigation by the Detroit Police Department (DPD), Sade Scott was identified and placed under arrest. She has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor Mail Theft in each case. WCPO has been informed that Scott was arraigned in the afternoon in 36th District Court and she received a $1500 bond. Her pre-trial is scheduled for January 6th, 2020, before Judge Lynise Bryant.
Another warrant request for porch theft with similar allegations was presented by DPD on Monday, December 21, 2020. It has been returned for further investigation by the police.
