BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, MI – On Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2020, a road rage shooting incident took place in the area of Alber and Textile Rd in Lodi Township. A victims vehicle was hit multiple times by gunfire.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office had asked for assistance from the public to identify a suspect and to help locate the vehicle that the suspected shooter had been driving at the time. They had released a photo on Saturday December 26th of that vehicle to the public.

Since that time, community members provided numerous tips and helped them identify a potential suspect.

On Saturday December 26th, Washtenaw County Sheriff Deputies went to serve a search warrant at the home of the suspect, in the 21000 block of W. Willow Rd., in Bridgewater Township. After several hours of attempting to make contact with the individual, deputies on scene discovered the 51-year-old man dead inside of his home.

The suspect vehicle was also located on the property.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. As additional details concerning the incident become available they will update the media and community.
