DETROIT, MI – On Saturday December 26th, 2020, Keyon Wilson-Ollis, 22-years-old, of Detroit, was formally charged in connection with a fatal shooting and two non-fatal shootings.
Keyon Wilson-Ollis was at a gas station at 7 Mile and Woodward at 5:30 p.m. when it is alleged that he fatally shot a 37-year-old man, non- fatally shot a 41-year-old woman and a 17-year-old man.
The victims did not know the defendant. After the shooting the defendant fled the scene in his car.
Detroit police officers arrived at the scene and radioed a description of the defendant’s car. Medics took the victims to a local hospital for treatment.
The 37-year-old man succumbed to his injuries. At approximately 5:45 p.m. on the same day other DPD officers captured the defendant at a gas station located in a strip mall at 8 Mile Road and Woodward.
Keyon Wilson-Ollis has been charged with eight felonies: first-degree premeditated murder, four counts of felony firearm, two counts of assault with intent to murder, and one count of fleeing and eluding police, fourth-degree.
He was arraigned over the weekend in 34th District Court in Romulus. The Probable Cause Conference will be held on January 6, 2021 and the Preliminary Examination will be held on January 13, 2021.
