DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two violent male suspects wanted in connection with a carjacking and assault that occurred on the city’s west side. They physically assaulted a 24-year-old woman. These two need to be taken off the streets so they cannot hurt another person.

On Wednesday, December 2nd 2020, at approximately 11:00 p.m., in the area of Margareta St & Meyers Rd, a 24-year old woman was assaulted and carjacked. The victim meet the first suspect on a dating app.

She picked up the two male suspects in the 20400 block of Northlawn to hang out, they drove to the area of Margareta St & Meyers Rd where she was asked to park her vehicle. Suspect one, who was the front seat passenger, punched the woman in her face one time, then pushed her face against the glass window. Suspect one then instructed suspect two, who was a back seat passenger, to pull the victim out of the drivers seat. Suspect two then exited the backseat, opened the drivers door and pulled the victim out of her vehicle and threw her to the ground.

The victim then ran away from the vehicle, one of the suspects threw her purse out of the vehicle and drove away in her black 2012 Chrysler 200. The vehicle was recovered the following day. However, Detroit Police need assistance to identify and locate the two male suspects. Suspect one, with the possible name of Chris or Kenny, is described as a black male unknown age.

Suspect two is described as a black male, possible name Jamar, appears to be between the ages of 24 & 30. That was the back seat passenger. There is no photo available of that suspect.
