SOUTH LYON, MI – A 19-year-old man, who is believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting death of 17-year-old South Lyon resident Dylan Stamper has been taken into custody and is currently being lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
The incident took place at approximately 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening in the Stamper home. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the homicide that occurred in the 300 block of E. Liberty Street.
17-year-old South Lyon resident, Dylan Stamper, was shot and died during the incident. A second victim, his father, who is 43-years-old, was critically wounded and is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital. Both agencies, the South Lyon Police Department and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office pursued all leads and information was developed on a the suspect. The suspects name is not being released at this time pending formal charges.
The investigation was turned over to and is being reviewed by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
