PAINTSVILLE, KY – Shane Denslow, 45-years-old, of Wyoming, Michigan was arrested New Years Eve night and charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop.
A approximately 10:30 P.M. Thursday December 31st, 2020, Shane Denslow was stopped by a Johnson County Sheriff Deputy. While speaking the driver of the vehicle, the officer noticed the smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The officer inquired about it. At first Shane Denslow denied having any pot in his vehicle but then admitted to having a roach.
It was at that time that Shane Denslow was placed under arrest. During the search of the drivers vehicle, the officer located six containers of suspected marijuana and a bag of hallucinogenic mushrooms, along with scales, plastic bags and almost $800 in cash. The officer noticed a hotel key during that search.
After being granted a search warrant, the officer went to Shane Denslows hotel room and discovered another five mason jars of suspected marijuana and another bag of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
He also found a hotel key and went to search his room, at which time he found five Mason jars of suspected marijuana and another bag of mushrooms.
Shane Denslow is now facing charges of marijuana trafficking and drug trafficking in the State of Kentucky. Kentucky does not have the same laws regarding marijuana that Michigan has.
