WYANDOTTE, MI – Charles Whitman, 39-years-old, has been charged in connection with the murder of his girlfriend Linda Breen, 55-years-old, both of Wyandotte.
On February 2nd, 2019, at 2:13 a.m. police officers were called to the apartment that Charles Whitman and Linda Breen shared located in the 1150 block of Sycamore Street in Wyandotte.
When officers entered the apartment, the Charles Whitman was there. They went to the bedroom in the apartment and found Linda Breen on a bed covered in blood.
Medics on the scene pronounced Linda Breen deceased. Whitman was taken into custody. It is alleged that Charles Whitman fatally beat Ms. Breen to death.
A warrant request was submitted to the Wayne county Prosecutor’s Office but was returned for further investigative work. The work was completed and recently returned to WCPO for a charging decision. As a result, Charles Whitman was placed under arrest yesterday, and today was arraigned on one count of Second-Degree Murder today and remanded to jail in 27th District Court. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for January 21, 2021, at 11:45 a.m.
