HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI – A 26-year-old Brandon Williams from Redford Township made a poor decision when he tried to force his way into a condo in Harrison Township on Monday. He did not come out alive.

On Monday January 25th, 2021, at approximately 12:36pm, Macomb County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Harrison Woods Condominium complex in Harrison Township to investigate a home invasion in progress.

While deputies responded to the residence, dispatch reported other callers in the area, reported suspected gunshots. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 26-year-old Brandon Williams from Redford dead.

Two subjects were brought in for questioning, a 27-year-old woman from Harrison Township and a 27-year-old man from Inkster. It was determined during the investigation that the man from Redford had forced his way into the home and was subsequently shot by one of the occupants.

Both subjects were released from custody per the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office pending review. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office remains on scene conducting an investigation.
