DETROIT, MI – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Wayne, Washtenaw, Lenawee and Monroe counties from Midnight Saturday until 10 p.m. Sunday.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches. * WHERE...Lenawee, Wayne, Washtenaw and Monroe Counties. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 10 PM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will lift northward into Southeast Michigan after midnight tonight. Heaviest snow activity is expected to fall between 4 AM and 9 AM producing the first 2 to 4 inches of snow. Lighter snow will then persist throughout the afternoon which may grind out an additional 1 to 2 inches before ending around 10 PM Sunday evening. The highest snow totals are expected to be near the Michigan and Ohio state line and across eastern Monroe County downwind of Lake Erie. Lower snow totals are expected north of the I 94 corridor in northern Wayne and Washtenaw counties. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
