HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI – Macomb County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred on January 25th, 2021, in the Harrison Woods Condominium complex.
During this incident, Brandon Williams, 26-years-old, out of Redford Township, was shot multiple times resulting in his death. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls to the residence, one being from a 27 year old woman who resides at the residence. The caller reported that a man, who she indicated she knew, was attempting to break down her door. A short time later, several gun shots are heard via the 911 call.
Upon deputies arrival, the 27-year-old caller, a 27-year-old man, out of Inkster, and Williams (deceased) were found inside the residence. Both the caller and the 27-year-old man were cooperative; neither was injured. Williams was determined to be deceased on scene.
Through this investigation it was learned that the caller had a previous dating relationship with Williams. Deputies have been to the residence in the past for disputes between the caller and Williams. On this date, Williams had come to the residence and was banging on the door attempting to force entry, which he did.
Footprints were located on the exterior of the front door to the residence. Once inside the home, the 27-year-old male shot Williams several times. Williams was located near the top of the stairway leading to the second floor of the home.
A 9mm handgun was taken as evidence. The gun is registered to the 27-year-old who does have a valid concealed pistol license. Both the caller and the 27-year-old man were interviewed at the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and then released per the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. This investigation is ongoing and will be presented to the Prosecutor’s Office upon its completion.
