DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs help in locating three suspects wanted in connection with a carjacking incident that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Sunday, February 7th, 2021, at approximately 11:45 p.m., in the 19200 block of W. McNichols, a 28-year old man, driving a 2016 white Dodge Charger pulled into a gas station to put air in his tire. While doing so, an unknown man approached the victim on foot and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun, with an extended clip and laser light, at him. The suspect begins to search the victims’ pockets, taking his IPhone and glasses before chasing him away. The suspect then entered the victim’s vehicle along with a second suspect who entered the passenger side before fleeing the location traveling westbound on McNichols.

No injuries were reported. According to investigators, the suspects arrived in a newer model Chevrolet Impala.

Suspect number one is described as a black male, medium complexion, approximately 19-23-years old, 5’10’’, slim build, medium length dreadlock braids. Last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and dark colored jeans and black and white shoes armed with a semi automatic handgun.

Suspect number two is described as a male, early 20’s, medium complexion, no facial hair. Last seen wearing black shoes, black sweatpants with a red stripe down the sides, a black hooded sweater and dark blue knit winter hat.

Suspect number three – unknown, driver of Chevrolet Impala with silver rims.

Vehicle taken: 2016 White Dodge Charger with black rims. The vehicle was later recovered on February 12, 2021 in the area of Ashton and W. 7 Mile.
