LAPEER, MI – On Monday February 15th, 2021, at 6:45 PM, Lapeer County 911 dispatched Lapeer County Sheriff’s Deputies to an injury traffic crash involving a snowmobile on Suppi Drive in Lapeer County’s Mayfield Township.

It was moderately snowing and 49-year-old Thomas Boyce, from Dearborn Heights, was visiting friends within the immediate area. Boyce left the property of his friends on a snowmobile. He traveled east on Suppi Drive operating a 2004 Arctic Cat snowmobile. The snowmobile entered the cul-de-sac at the end and slammed into a tree “head on”.

Boyce was transported to McLaren in Lapeer where he died due to his injuries shortly after he arrived for critical treatment.
