DETROIT, MI – Dramatic Video shows the moment a man was shot and killed late Friday morning while he was at a gas station on the eastside of Detroit.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a male suspect wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Friday February 19th, 2021, at approximately 11:20 a.m., in the 10600 block of E Outer Drive, an unidentified man was sitting in the driver’s seat of a silver Ford Fusion parked at a gas pump, when a light color older model Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe pulled alongside of his vehicle and an unknown armed male suspect inside, seated in the rear drivers side passenger seat, fired multiple shots into his vehicle. After the shooting the suspect vehicle drove away then returned moments later and fired additional shots into the vehicle fatally wounding the victim. After the second round of gunfire, the suspects vehicle fled north on Wayburn.

After being struck, the victim’s vehicle accelerated forward and struck the wall of the gas station building. Medics arrived on scene, and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The suspect responsible for this incident is described as a black male, wearing a light colored jacket, dark-colored hat, and a light-colored facemask, armed with a handgun.
