DETROIT, MI – An arrest has been made in the armed robbery of a man at a gas station on Thursday, January 28th, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., in the 10000 block of W. Seven Mile.
It is alleged that the suspect, Marcus Brown, approached a 53-year-old man and then took his gun from his right pocket while the second suspect stood watch at the door. Suspect one then produced another handgun and pointed it at the victim before fleeing the location.
Through further investigation, investigators learned that the suspect, Marcus Brown, had been arrested on Tuesday, February 9 during a traffic stop in the area of W. McNichols and Stout for his involvement in a separate incident that occurred on Wednesday, January 27 in the 18300 block of W. 8 Mile Road, where he allegedly shot and critically wounded a 19-year old man at a gas station.
He was charged for the NFS incident and arraigned on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:30 PM. and given a $100,000 cash bond. Charges are as follows: 1 count of assault with intent to murder. 1 count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. 1 count of weapons firearms possession by felon. And 3 counts of weapons felony firearm.
Investigators also believe the suspect is connected to the robbery incident that occurred on Thursday, January 28th in the 10000 block of W 7 Mile. An additional warrant packet for his alleged involvement in will be submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutors Office for review and approval.
