DETROIT, MI – A search involving family and friends came to an end after the body of Brandy Nelson was found Tuesday afternoon near a garage off Drexel on the city’s east side.
It was reported that Brandy Nelson was last seen on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in the 5500 block of Drexel. She left her residence and had not been seen or heard from since.
Her death is being called suspicious but her family has acknowledged that this is a homicide.
Her family stated that they feared Brandy was being held against her will prior to her death. She managed to find a way to call her mother trying to get help saying that she was scared before she was found dead. The property where she was found appears to be an abandoned house with few windows left in it.

Brandy Nelson 20yrs old ,Last seen on 2-16-20 on Drexel St Eastside of Detroit, with her child’s father Juma Reeves and his girlfriend Latrice Knight. There was a physical altercation between the 3 of them, just days before and No one has had any contact with her since speaking with her at his house last Tuesday. We fear she’s in trouble and in need of help!!
Detroit Police have not released much information. There have been no arrests in the case at this time.
