COLUMBIA, MO – A Detroit man, who was listed as a Probation Absconder with Michigan Department of Corrections and wanted on warrants for murder and probation violations, was taken into custody on Tuesday March 2nd, 2021

Allante Day, 29-years-old, is suspected of a murder that took place in Detroit, was arrested in northwest Columbia, Missouri on Tuesday morning at about 10:40 a.m. Officers with the Columbia Police Department and the US Marshals Service worked together to locate him and to get him placed into custody.

The Boone County Jail website said Day has out-of-state warrants from Wayne County for first-degree murder and a probation violations for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Allante Day is being held without bond in the Boone County Jail.

Michigan Department of Corrections shows that he has previous convictions for the following:

  • Weapons – Carrying Concealed
  • Weapons – Firearms – Possession by Felon
  • Assault with Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault)
  • Assault with Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault)
