BENTON HARBOR, MI – On Saturday March 13th, 2021, at approximately 1:21 AM, Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety Officers were investigating a complaint of shots fired in the area near Highland and McCord when a dispatch of a motorist assist was called in at Highland and Hull. Officers responded and found an unresponsive man in the vehicle. The vehicle had crashed.

Officers had to break into the automobile to gain access to the sole male occupant. Officers found the driver unresponsive and wounded by gunfire. Officers initiated first aid, however the driver passed away at the scene. The man is identified as a 29-year-old Benton Harbor resident, Tevin Glaspy. Glaspy’s family has been notified.
