MANISTEE COUNTY, MI – The Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post investigated a homicide that occurred at a residence located at 18211 Aspen Road in Wellston. The investigation showed that on the evening of March 16th or early morning hours of March 17th, 2021, 40-year-old Angelee Noel Ross, of Cadillac, murdered 56-year-old William Joseph Johnson and his two dogs.
William Johnson sustained multiple acts of violence to his head and body resulting in his death. Johnson’s dogs both showed signs of significant trauma caused by multiple stab wounds to their bodies. Johnson and Angelee Ross were previously in a dating relationship and were still acquaintances.
Angelee Ross was arraigned this afternoon in the 85th District Court in Manistee County via video from the Manistee County Jail. She is charged with one count Homicide – Open Murder, two counts Killing/Torturing of an Animal Third Degree, and three counts Felony Firearms. Ross is being held without bond in the Manistee County Jail. Her next scheduled court appearance is on April 6, 2021.
