DETROIT, MI – In yet another multiple shooting incident in the city of Detroit, a person was gunned down in an act of violence on the west side of the city. On Tuesday April 6th, 2021, four people were shot where another person lost their life. This is a trend that seems to be rapidly escalating.
On Wednesday April 7th, 2021, at approximately 1:19 a.m., in the 15000 block of Ward, a 64-year-old man entered the location and began shooting, striking three other men. A 24-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital from being shot by the suspect.
The 22-year-old second victim was listed in critical condition and a 43-year-old victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
The suspect fled the scene in a pick-up truck but was later arrested and the weapon was recovered. Detroit Police are currently still looking for the driver. The is currently no description of that person at this time.
