GLADWIN COUNTY, MI – On Tuesday April 6th, 2021, at approximately 11:00 PM, deputies from the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call to investigate a personal injury accident on Oberlin Road south of Ziemer Road in Sage Township.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found a 2012 Jeep Wrangler on its roof in the ditch on the east side of Oberlin Road.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Alissa Marie Bunnell, of Gladwin, dead at the scene by medical personnel. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor and Bunnell was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
