FLAT ROCK, MI – On Friday April 9th, 2021, at approximately 12:46a.m., the Huron Township Department of Public Safety responded to the 28000 block of Spruce Drive regarding a stabbing that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, first responders located a 20-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

On that same day, a 31-year-old Belleville resident was taken into custody regarding the stabbing incident. At the time the suspect was being placed into custody, he was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Arrested and charged is Maurice Lashane Turner, 31-years-old, of Belleville. Maurice Turner is charged with the following:

Count #1:        ASSAULT WITH INTENT MURDER; Felony, life or any number of years.
Count #2:        ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO DO GREAT BODILY HARM; 10-year-felony
Count #3:        FELONIOUS ASSAULT; 4-year-felony

The suspect was arraigned and is being held in the Wayne County Jail on a $100,000/ 10% bond.
