FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI – At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Friday April 9th, 2021, troopers from the Monroe Post were dispatched to a breaking and entering of the Simon Z Telegraph Market convenience store located at 7850 North Telegraph Road. 

Upon arrival on scene, troopers determined the following sequence of events: A man, dressed in a black/dark blue “Under Armour” hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes, arrived on scene. After ensuring the building was unoccupied, the subject secured a piece of cement from the side of the building and threw it through the front glass door. The subject then entered the property and removed multiple items, including, but not limited to, alcohol, electronic cigarettes, and rolling papers. The subject was observed walking through the building and exiting through the back door. This incident was recorded by surveillance video.    

Troopers were assisted by personnel from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
