INKSTER, MI – James Lauther Moore, 76-years-old, of Inkster, has been charged in connection with the non-fatal shooting of Elisha Parker, 27-years-old, of Wayne.
On April 13th, 2021, at approximately 2:21 p.m., Elisha Parker went to the home of James Moore in the 1620 block of Helen Street in Inkster on a request for life insurance information. It is alleged that Moore became verbally aggressive with the victim and there was an argument. It is also alleged that the argument between Elisha Parker and James Moore escalated. At that time Moore shot the victim in the left knee. The victim drove away from the scene and flagged down Inkster police officers who escorted him to a local hospital for treatment.
James Moore has been charged with One Count of Assault with Intent to Murder, One Count of Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, One Count of Felonious Assault, and Three Counts of Felony Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned this afternoon in 22nd District Court.
