DETROIT, MI – On Wednesday April 21st, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m., two teenage boys were seated in a blue Ford Mercury not bothering anyone. They were minding their own business. In the blink of an eye their lives would get turned upside down.

The two boys, ages 14 and 18-years-old, were sitting in the vehicle in front of a residence in the 2000 block of W. Buena Vista when three male suspects walked towards them from a nearby alley as they were seated in their vehicle. Those three suspects opened fire on them with their weapons. When they finished firing rounds at the victim’s vehicle, they walked away.

The two teenagers were privately conveyed to the hospital. The 14-year-old is listed in critical condition and the 18-year-old is listed in stable condition.

The suspects responsible for this crime are still at large and are described as three black males wearing all black, no other description provided. No other injuries reported. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department’s 10th Precinct at 313-596-1040 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-speak Up.
