DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two suspects wanted in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Friday, April 16, 2021, in the 3900 block of Grand River at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 25-year old male victim was outside the location, when he was approached by two unknown males. One of the suspects produced a weapon and fired a single shot, striking the victim. The second suspect then took the victim’s backpack and fled in an unknown
direction.

Officers arrived at the scene and immediately began rendering first aid to the victim until medics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital, and was listed in temp serious condition. Both suspects were described as black males. The second suspect has a thin build with facial hair, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white letters, and black pants.
