SAGINAW, MI – The Saginaw Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting in the City of Saginaw that occurred yesterday, Thursday April 22nd, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in the 1200 block of Glenwood Street.

A single suspect approached the victim’s vehicle, which was stopped in the roadway and began firing multiple rounds at the victim, striking him several times. The 26-year-old victim from Saginaw, began firing back at the suspect. The suspect fled the scene on foot and then returned to the scene driving a silver Volkswagen with red on the license plate.

The suspect then fired more bullets toward the victim, who was still in his vehicle. During this whole exchange of gunfire, the victim’s nine-year-old son was in the backseat of the victim’s vehicle. The victim is in critical condition at a hospital downstate and the victim was not cooperative with detectives.

The suspect vehicle, a silver Volkswagen with red on the license plate should have bullet holes on the exterior. Anyone with information pertaining to this shooting is asked to contact the Saginaw Major Crimes Unit at 989-759-1289.
