WARREN, MI – A 39-year-old Warren man was criminally charged today for a Sunday night fatal crash that claimed the life of a 25-year-old Detroit man.

Anthony Joseph Dicicco was the driver of a 2000 Mercedes SUV that was traveling at a high rate of speed, at about 10:30 p.m., on southbound Groesbeck Highway. He went to turn left to enter southbound Hayes Road at I-696 when his vehicle crashed into a 2008 Pontiac G6 driven by Monty Heath, 25-years-old, of Detroit, on northbound Groesbeck Highway.

Monty Heath was taken to Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit where he was pronounced dead.

A warrant was approved to charge Anthony Dicicco with operating while intoxicated causing death, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. He was arraigned on Tuesday due to his “intoxication level” but had been expected to be arraigned on Monday in 37th District Court in Warren.
