PONTIAC, MI – At 11:32PM on Tuesday April 27th, 2021, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and Star EMS responded to the 700 block of Kettering Avenue on the report of a subject who had been shot. It was reported that the victim was being transported to the hospital by a family member.
Upon arrival, deputies were redirected to McLaren Oakland Hospital. Deputies responded to the hospital and met with the 17-year-old male victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his back. The bullet had exited through his chest. The teenager stated to deputies that he had been standing next to a parked vehicle talking to the occupants when another vehicle drove by and the 24-year-old shot him. He is listed in stable condition.
Deputies located multiple spent shell casings on the roadway and parked vehicles that had been damaged. Detectives arrived on the scene and began their investigation. An OCSO Evidence Technician processed the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
