ALPENA COUNTY, MI – On Sunday, May 2nd, 2021, at approximately 1:20 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post responded to a report of a domestic assault in progress at a residence on Bean Creek Road in Long Rapids Township.
While enroute to the scene officers were informed the suspect had fled on foot. Upon their arrival the victim met them outside and had dried blood on his face. The victim alleged a family member, identified as 30-year-old Ericka Lynn Hill from Lachine, had assaulted him with a barstool during an argument. Troopers learned that Hill had fled to a neighbor’s home where she was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Alpena County Jail. The victim refused medical treatment.
Hill was arraigned today in the 88th District Court in Alpena. Hill is being charged with one count Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Her bond was at $50,000 cash surety. Hill’s next scheduled court appearance is on May 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
