MOUNT PLEASANT, MI – On Tuesday May 4th, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m., troopers from the Mount Pleasant State Police Post conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for illegal window tint on M-115 in Highland Township, Osceola County.

The driver of the vehicle provided a false name when asked to identify himself. The driver was later identified as a 26-year-old Ithaca man who had parole absconding and a four count felony assault warrant out of Gratiot County.

A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine. The driver was lodged at Osceola County Jail pending arraignment. Charges will be sought for possession of methamphetamine, providing false information to a police officer, and driving on a suspended license.
