TROY, MI – On April 29th, 2021, at approximately 11:15 AM, the victims were driving their work van, a 2009 GMC Savanna, to a job site while on Northbound I-75. The driver of the work van exited the freeway taking the ramp to Westbound West Big Beaver Road when they noticed a black 2006 Chrysler 300 being driven erratically.
As the victims exited the freeway, the driver of the Chrysler 300 drove onto the shoulder of the exit ramp and struck several traffic cones. The driver of the vehicle motioned the victims to roll down their window at the end of the ramp when they stopped for the red traffic signal. The driver got out of his vehicle and threw an Arizona drink can at them, splashing both victims.
As the light turned green, the victim’s drove away and heard a loud bang. Both believed the sound was gunfire and immediately drove to the police station. Upon inspecting their work vehicle, they noticed a bullet hole in the passenger side of the work van. The victims did not see who actually fired the weapon as there were four subjects inside the Chrysler 300.
