PONTIAC, MI – Oakland County Sheriff Deputies responded to the McLaren Oakland Hospital’s Emergency room on the report of a gunshot wound victim who was involved allegedly in a drive-by shooting.

Upon Deputies arrival, contact was made with the 39-year-old victim who had two gunshot wounds to his upper right shoulder.  He stated he was sitting in his vehicle in a vacant lot of the 100 block of Maines Street. He also stated that he saw a gray vehicle travelling towards him, heard a bang and was able to see a person hanging out the window of the vehicle. He then drove to his sister’s home in a nearby neighborhood and was driven to the hospital by a friend.

Detectives arrived and interviewed the victim who stated he could not identify the suspect due to the suspect wearing a head wrap, nor could he describe the vehicle’s make or model.  Deputies located a single shell casing in the roadway where the victim stated the incident occurred.  The victim is listed in stable condition.

Detectives will be continuing the investigation.
