DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two male suspects wanted in connection to a carjacking that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Sunday, May 16th, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m., in the 4200 block of W Warren Ave. a 77-year old man was driving a brown 2005 Chevrolet Uplander minivan, when he pulled into a Citgo gas station and parked at the gas pump. While sitting in the drivers seat of his vehicle, the victim was approached by two unknown male suspects who demanded his vehicle. The victim was pulled out of his vehicle by one of the suspects and struck in the head with an unknown blunt object. Both suspects then entered the victim’s vehicle and drove off traveling southbound on Lovvett Street then turned right on Herbert.

The vehicle was recovered a short time later in the area of Herbert Street and 31st Street.

Detroit Police Investigators needs assistance in locating the suspects. The suspects were described as following:

Suspect one description: B/M/17-22 Light skin, slim build, 5`10. Last seen wearing all black, black hoodie, black pants, black shoes.

Suspect two description: B/M/17-22, slim build, 5`10. Last seen wearing all black, black hoodie, black pants, black shoes.
