DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in identifying and locating a male suspect wanted in connection with an arson that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Tuesday June 8, 2021, at approximately 1:50 p.m., in the 5000 block of McDougall St., a male suspect entered the location then sprayed an accelerant on a shelf, lit a cloth wrapped around a stick and threw it on the shelf, starting the fire. Immediately after he fled the location on foot, heading south on McDougall, then east through a field toward
Elmwood.

The Suspect is described as a black male, 5’9”, with a black mask covering his entire face. He was last seen wearing a white t shirt, a black zip up hooded jacket with reflective strips, black pants with reflective strips and black shoes.
