TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, MI – On Monday June 21st, 2021 Sheriff’s Deputies were contacted by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio as they requested assistance in locating several stolen dogs that had been taken from an Ohio breeder over the last several days.

The victim from the Ohio case found what they thought to be the stolen dogs posted for sale on the Internet. Further investigation showed that the dogs may be at an address in Tallmadge Township of Ottawa County.

Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office made contact with a resident in the 900 block of Leonard St and found 10 French Bulldogs. The dogs were chipped and confirmed to be the stolen dogs from Ohio. The dogs are valued at approximately $6,000 a piece.

The recovered animals were taken to the Human Society where they are awaiting pick up from the owner.

Sheriff’s detectives in Ottawa County, along with detectives from the Holmes County Ohio Sheriff’s Office are continuing the investigation into this matter, and charges are likely to include a 41 year old woman, and a 17 year old woman both from Tallmadge Township.
