TROY, MI – On June 17th, 2021, at approximately 4:10 PM, Troy Police officers responded to Somerset Collection – North located at 2800 West Big Beaver Road on report of a fight-in-progress.

Somerset Collection Security Officers arrived first and were able to stop the altercation and separate the subjects involved. The responding officers were able to determine that a victim was using the restroom and observed an unknown subject raising a phone over the bathroom stall several times, utilizing the camera to take photographs of his exposed genitals.

The victim grabbed the phone and demanded the subject come out of the bathroom stall which he refused. The victim exited the men’s bathroom and waited until the suspect emerged. When the suspect did walk out, the victim began punching him.

The responding officers were able to view the suspect’s phone and determined he had used it in a way to take photographs of the victim. The 28-year-old man from Lake Orion was arrested and charged with Using a Computer in the Commission of a Crime and Capturing an Image of an Unclothed Person.
