DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police needs assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.

Preliminary on Saturday July 3rd, 2021, in the 6500 block of Linwood Street, a 16-year old male was walking to a gas station when an unknown suspect pulled up in a dark color sedan and fired a shot at the victim and striking him. Investigators learned that the suspect was in a red Chevy Impala. The vehicle is also missing a rim on the front passenger tire. The suspect’s description is unknown.

Investigators also learned that the incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. as oppose to 5 a.m. as originally reported. Additionally, investigators learned that the victim was with one other teen and an adult. No other injuries reported.
