CAMBRIDGE, TOWNSHIP, MI – Detectives from the First District Special Investigation Section are investigating the death of a 30-year-old female from Croswell, MI at the Faster Horses Festival in Cambridge Township, Lenawee County that occurred on July 17th, 2021. The deceased female has been identified as Melissa Donna Havens.

Detectives need assistance with information or tips helping them locate and or identify a subject Melissa Havens was reportedly seen with, within 24 hours of her body being located. The subject was described as a black male in his 30’s, short black hair, short beard and wearing a gray hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to contact D/Sgt. Dan Drewyor of the Michigan State Police Monroe Post at 734-819-8192.

Detectives want the public to know there is no danger or threats to people attending Faster Horses Music Festival.

Three men were found dead in a travel trailer 4 miles from the festival. Their deaths are believed to be from carbon monoxide poisoning. The deaths did not happen on festival grounds. 2 other men are in critical condition who were also inside of that camper.
