Violence on Detroits East side

DETROIT, MI – This is not the first time that video has surfaced on social media where those who have guns in hand and they fire multiple gunshots towards their targets that they wish to harm.

This particular video was shared on July 18th, 2021. It is unknown when it was recorded. MI Headlines was told that the incident took place on Fairmount Dr on Detroit’s east side. We do not know who recorded the video because it was sent to a private message account that MI Headlines maintains.

In the recording you will see a large excited group. It is unclear what is taking place for the next event to happen. You will then see two individuals with guns in hand emerge from the crowd where they open fire, shooting down a street. As soon as they are done shooting their weapons, they run in the opposite direction. It is unknown if anyone was injured.

If this is what is being represented of Detroit to the public, we have a long ways to go. To many weapons are in the hands of those that they do not belong. Recently, Terell Josey, 27-years-old, was charged with Open Murder, Possession of Felony Firearm, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon in connection to a shooting that occurred on Monday July 5th, 2021 in the Shell Gas parking lot located at 3990 Rochester Road that claimed the life of Detroit Firefighter Francis Dombrowski. The shooting took place stemming from a road rage incident. Shots fired on our expressways has also become very common as of late.

In Ecorse on Monday July 19th, 2021, at about 10:45pm, a man and woman were sitting outside when a Chrysler 300 pulled up. Someone inside of that vehicle open fire on them. It is not known why they were targeted.
