ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – On Sunday July 19th, 2021, at about 11:30 p.m.,Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 2580 Crooks Road on the report of a domestic incident.
The complainant reported that she and her sister were in a physical altercation.
Upon arrival, deputies met the complainant who stated that no assault had taken place. She stated that her sister was highly intoxicated and that she had damaged the motel room. The 22-year-old woman, Gaylynn Bailey, from Detroit, had fled on foot.
When deputies located the highly intoxicated woman, she was uncooperative with directives given by deputies.
Bailey took a fighting stance with clenched fists and stated, “if you try and touch me, I will fight you”. She actively resisted deputies attempts to take her into custody.
After deputies secured her, they attempted to place her in the patrol vehicle. While doing so she kicked the tire and the door jamb to avoid being placed into the patrol vehicle. After being placed into the patrol vehicle she continuously kicked the rear passenger door of the patrol vehicle causing damage to the door frame. Bailey was lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of charges.
Gaylynn Bailey has been charged with Obstructing-Resisting an Officer and two counts of Damage to Property.
