DETROIT, MI – Dangelo Cash Clemons, 29-years-old, of Detroit, is being charged in connection with the fatal shootings of Larry Brown, 23-years-old and Colby Millsap, 44-years-old also of Detroit.
DETROIT, MI – Dangelo Clemons was also charged in connection with the kidnapping of Mr. Millsap’s five-year-old daughter.
On June 30th, 2021, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to the area of Schaefer Highway and Capitol Street, in Detroit, for a child endangerment call. Upon arrival, officers were notified that the child was being held captive in a residence in the 12100 block of Schaefer Highway. When attempting to contact Mr. Millsap at his residence, officers discovered the victims inside and unresponsive with a gun shot wounds to the head. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victims deceased.
It is alleged that Dangelo Clemons fatally shot the victims before abducting the child and fleeing to the residence next door.
“The charges in this case are the result of a month of coordinated, consistent work between my office and police agencies,” said Prosecutor Worthy. “The allegations in this case are brutal and tragic, but the only silver lining is that the child involved here was able to signal for help and was found alive.“
Dangelo Clemons has been charged with one count of Felony Murder, one count of First-Degree Murder and two counts of Felony Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned on August 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in 36th District Court.
