PONTIAC, MI – On Sunday September 12th, 2021, at approximately 10:28 PM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 500 Block of Irwin on a shooting that just occurred. Deputies were advised that three vehicles fled the scene, a blue Chevy Malibu, a white Yukon, and a white truck.

While responding to the area Deputies located two of the three vehicles the Chevy Malibu and the white Yukon. Deputies conducted felony traffic stops on the vehicles and two suspects were taken into custody. The Sheriff’s Operation Center advised Deputies that a gunshot victim had been dropped off at St. Joseph Hospital.

A 22-year-old witness, from Pontiac, stated she drove her two male friends, a 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both of Pontiac, to the party store.  The men walked into the store and when they came out, she heard multiple gunshots. She said, the two men were able to get back inside of her vehicle and she drove them to the hospital. She stated her vehicle was also had a passenger window shot out and her daughters ages one and two were in the car. The witness and her daughters were not injured.   

One male victims was shot multiple times.  Once in the right forearm, chest and in the right side of the pelvis. The second male victim was not shot but received a cut on his right hand from the vehicle’s broken glass.  

Detectives responded and began their investigation. An Evidence Technician responded to photograph the scene and collect evidence.

One of the suspects was lodged at the Oakland County Jail for attempted murder.

The second suspect was released, and a third suspect has not been identified.

The incident remains under investigation.

The victim who received multiple gunshot wounds is listed in stable condition.
