WALES TOWNSHIP - A 30 year old Kimball Township man is in custody following a vacant home break-in in Wales Township. \r\nAccording to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the Sheriff\u2019s Office received a call of a possible B&E in progress in the 9400 block of Hill Road shortly before 8:30 Tuesday night. When deputies arrived, they discovered a white Ford Taurus parked behind the garage, with the suspect inside. T\r\nhe man was ordered out of the vehicle. Once he was out of the car, deputies discovered a 9mm handgun sitting on the floor of the vehicle. The end of the gun was painted orange and the rest camouflage, in an attempt to make it look like a toy. The gun was reported stolen out of Port Huron. Items believed to have been stolen from the garage of the residence were also recovered.\r\nThe suspect was arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. He is expected to face charges including felony firearm and breaking and entering.\r\n\u201cThis arrest was the result of neighbors looking out for each other,\u201d said Sheriff Donnellon. \u201cA neighbor saw something suspicious and contacted the property owner, who called the Sheriff\u2019s Office.\u201d\r\nSheriff Donnellon asks that if anyone sees any type of suspicious activity, either call 911, the Sheriff\u2019s Office at (810) 985-8115, or your local police agency.
