TRAVERSE CITY, MI - On December 8th, 2014 Jesse Finch, 38-years-old, was arraigned in 86th District Court. He was charged with Resisting and Obstructing Police. A preliminary exam date was set for December 22nd, 2014 at 11:30am.\r\nAt 12:10 p.m. on December 5th, 2014 the Kingsley Middle School received information that an upset parent may be coming to the school to pick up his child.\r\nGrand Traverse Sheriff\u2019s Deputies responded to the school to assure the safety of those at the school.\r\nAdditional deputies were able to locate\u00a0Jesse Finch several miles away near his residence.\r\nFinch was unarmed and gave no information that would allow a detention or arrest by deputies. The school was in lock down until 1:20 p.m.\r\nAt approximately 3 p.m. Jesse Finch arrived at Kingsley Middle School and entered the front office area. A deputy, who was at the school, made contact with him.\r\nFinch refused several commands, including repeated requests to remove his hands from his pockets. As the deputy attempted to check him for weapons, the subject began to resist and fight with the deputy.\u00a0Jesse Finch was subdued and arrested for Resisting and Obstructing Police and Disorderly Conduct.\r\nHe was taken to the Grand Traverse County Jail. No weapons were found on the man.
